What does "ekklesia" mean?
Our English word "church" is the translation of the Greek word "ekklesia." Ekklesia means “ones who are called out.” This is what the church is -- people who have been called out of this world to be God's own special people.
The church is not an institution created by humans, but a worldwide fellowship of people who have a common faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. When a person is saved, that person is added to the church, and should then connect with a local congregation of Christians to carry out God's work, worship, and witness!
We are so thankful you’ve chosen to worship with this ekklesia! Our goal here is to be a Biblically-functioning community of believers growing deeper through worship, larger through evangelism, stronger through discipleship, warmer through fellowship, and broader through ministry.
